We marked International Women’s Day 2025 with an unforgettable event at our partner Dotdigital’s London office. It was an evening filled with inspiration, powerful stories, and a celebration of what can be achieved when women support one another.

A story of strength and resilience

We were honoured to welcome Imy, Becca, and Sheri from the remarkable Force Atlantic team, the first all-female Army team to row across the Atlantic. Fresh from completing their extraordinary challenge, they shared the highs, the lows, and the moments that kept them going. Their story of resilience, teamwork, and courage left us all in awe, reminding us just how closely their mission - ‘promote, inspire, belong’ - aligns with our own.

Ambassadors leading the conversation

Our incredible ambassadors Amy and Khushi took to the stage to share how being part of The Girls’ Network has helped them build confidence, navigate their careers, and overcome personal challenges. Their stories were a powerful testament to the impact of mentorship and the strength of our network.

We also heard from our brilliant Programme Coordinator, Sabyna, whose journey with The Girls’ Network has come full circle. From mentee to ambassador to now a member of our team, she shared how she’s about to take on her next challenge - becoming a mentor herself. Not only was her story inspiring, but she also took a brave step in speaking publicly for the first time, something she never imagined doing just a few years ago - she was brilliant! 

A brilliant Q&A and networking

One of the highlights of the night was a fantastic Q&A session with the Force Atlantic team, expertly hosted by our ambassador Salma. The conversation was engaging, insightful, and full of laughs, leaving everyone inspired by the team’s determination and perseverance.

We wrapped up the evening with time to connect, chat, and take in the stunning views from Dotdigital’s London office. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community - ambassadors, mentors, staff, and partners - to come together and celebrate the power of women lifting each other up.
